VIA's Nano CPU to come in Dual Core

VIA, in a recent conference, announced a product roadmap for their upcoming processors. It looks as if the VIA Nano E-Series CPU will be mass market released June 2009 with FSB up to 1,333MHz and utilising 65nm processor technology.

However, perhaps more interestingly, VIA intends to release a Dual-Core version of their chip in 2010 with the first sample being produced late next year. This is a long way off, especially when the fast moving netbook market is taking into consideration. Intel already have a Dual-Core version of their popular Intel Atom processor, but then again this processor is apparently to power hungry for use in netbooks.
