So the new Asus Eee PC 1000H replacement, the 1002HA, is the talk of the town at the moment. Although its somewhat spendier than the 1000H it looks amazing and completely dissolves the cheap appearance and connotations of the popular 1000H.
Some very astute people have noticed that the 1002HA does look awfully similar to the super-slim and somewhat-spendy premium Eee PC - the S101. Well Dave Zatz got the lucky opportunity of being able to check out the two machines side by side. A game of spot the difference perhaps? See what you think in the pic above...
The main difference on the inside between the two Eee's is the S101 totes a 64GB silent SSD while the 1002HA has a large 160GB HDD. On the price ticket you are paying a $200 price premium for the S101, $699 vs $499 for the 1002HA. With the option to upgrade the 1002HA HDD to a nice SSD later on (when SSDs will be no doubt much cheaper) I'm thinking the 1002HA is almost inarguably the pick of the bunch!
