We've seen free and discounted netbooks bundled with 3G service packages in Asia and Europe, but if you live in the states and want to get your hands on a free netty you may have to fork out for a brand spanking new Chrysler!
Chrysler's 'webedition' package is to be showcased at the San Fran Auto Show this week, a $1,200-$1,999 package on offer with new Chryslers, Dodges and Jeeps. This package includes an Autonet Mobile Router for in-car wireless broadband, a Dell Inspiron Mini 9, 8GB Apple iPod Touch, Sony PSP and an Eye-Fi SD Card for your camera (an SD card with built-in Wireless capability for uploading pics directly to photo sharing sites).
If you can afford it this sounds great as long as the troubled automaker doesn't bite the bullet before this becomes widespread. Couple this package with the upcoming HP Magic Picture Frame and you've got one super-connected family!
