HP Vivienne Tam Edition netbook this December

Those of you hardcore enough to be following us way back in September (yes the netbook market really is that fickle) may remember HP's very brightly coloured special edition mininote - the 'Vivienne Tam' netbook. Although I'm not one to wear flowers (more into drinking beer personally) this is a damn good looking netbook although admittedly rather feminine. I can see this selling to the fairer sex relatively easily.

This one is going to tout an Atom processor - a stepup from the VIA C7 seen in the original 2133 mininote. Engadget is reporting that specs are pretty scant - however we recall seeing this as a 10" screen (improvement over the 2133's 9" screen) and hopefully with the same mega-keyboard that came on the 2133.

HP's original netbook was definitely noteworthy with its keyboard and sturdy case, although the price back then (not so much now) was a killer and the processor sucked. Hopefully this one will be snappier with its Atom and more affordable.

Now for the obvious question - will nail varnish remove the red toenail paint?
