The Eee Prophecy is Eventuating

The July Eee PC prophecy presentation comes to fruition

The astute of you may remember back in July of this year Engadget China snuck a photo of an Asus roadmap presentation showcasing the future plans for the Eee PC brand. Not surprisingly future plans included an orgy of new models (and model numbers) based on variances on the Eee PC. I'm thinking this isn't a contemporary case study they will be using in Branding 101 at Harvard Business School this year.

Well, even less surprisingly we can see that some of the models yet to be heard of when this pic was taken are now released - notably the speculated 'Ultimate' S101. Throwing back to the presentation I'm guessing that we can expect a 9" version of this as well. And instead of being called the 9" Ultimate it gets its own unique SKU - just like every other member of the Eee family. Perhaps Asus have been working closely with the offcuts of the Nokia product naming department.

It seems as though the 'PRO Fashion' line of 1000's and the T101 will be in direct competition with the next-gen Wind, which is meant to be designed to appear more aesthetically acceptable to business users and professionals. Good to see they have their target markets plotted out in useful demographic segments, the ever growing Insurance Sales and House Agent sectors are sure to snap these up in huge quantities!
